Consultation

Since completing the main Campus in 2011, the Academy has taken the opportunity to review its plans to ensure that the Campus continues to meet the Academy’s current and future needs. Before embarking on detailed project work, the Academy completed a scoping exercise and appointed the well-respected David Miller Architects to develop the project plans.

The Academy is taking the opportunity to discuss the emerging designs with local residents and parents, and in advance of submitting any plans. Since developing the plans, we have had to reflect and respond to quite significant shifts in the educational landscape including a need to improve site safety and student entry into the Campus and need for additional teaching and SEN spaces. This is alongside a continued commitment to provide an outstanding educational experience.

The Academy held a consultation event on Wednesday 18th January 2023 between 5pm and 7pm for immediate neighbours on Cathnor Road, Melina Road, Elgin Avenue, Elgin Close and Greenside Road, as well as parents, staff and students to discuss these evolving plans. Senior members of staff and representatives from David Miller Architects, Bidwells our project managers, and LUC our planning consultants, were in attendance.

For more information about these plans, please contact the Academy’s Director of Finance & Resources, Peter Sircar on 020 8222 6000 or by emailing psircar@hammersmithacademy.org.
