HATV

One of the Academy’s strengths is providing opportunities for students to develop new skills and expertise which will prepare them well for life beyond school. Students who are interested in the world of media, news and advertising can join the Academy’s Media, Press and Promotions Team, which is a division of the Junior Leadership Team.

HATV is a student led channel focusing on news stories from around the Academy, presented in a magazine style show. HATV teaches students a variety of media skills required by professionals including script writing, editing, presenting, filming techniques and reporting. By the time members of the Media, Press and Promotions Team leave the Academy they will have key skills to contribute towards their UCAS applications or to take into an apprenticeship.
