Welcome to Hammersmith Academy’s Sixth Form Virtual Open Day for prospective students and parents. We know that this is an important time for Year 11 students who will be deciding which Sixth Form best suits their university and career goals.

Hammersmith Academy – Life in the Sixth Form
The average day for a Hammersmith Academy Sixth Form student is a busy one, with challenging A-Level and BTEC lessons, discussing careers and university choices with the Careers Team and attending Insight Programme lectures.
Francis is in Year 12 and he joined the Academy in September as an external student. He tells us about his experience of applying to join the Academy’s Sixth Form and what it has been like starting here.
Shahad is a Sixth Form student in Year 13 who joined the Sixth Form as an internal Year 11 student from HA. She explains what her time in Sixth Form has been like and what Year 11 students hoping to join the Academy can expect.
Calvin is a Sixth Form Alum who is currently studying at Cambridge University. He joined the Academy as a Year 7 student and he talks through his experience of applying for university and the support the Academy offered him during that process.

Sixth Form Subjects
Sixth Formers will normally select three subjects to study for A-Level or BTEC when starting Sixth Form. Each subject will have its own entry requirement and you can find these on the Sixth Form Curriculum page. The Head of Departments have also recorded a welcome message for each subject with a brief explanation of what content you will cover when you start in Year 12.
The Academy held a live presentation during the Sixth Form Virtual Open Evening. The presentation covered key information about life in our Sixth Form and how students can apply for a place in the Sixth Form for September 2021.
