Hammersmith Academy at BETT Show 2019

1 Feb 2019
Hammersmith Academy’s Headteacher, Mr Kynaston, was a keynote speaker at the BETT Show 2019.

The Bett Show showcases the latest products and developments in education technology. The show is attended by schools, colleges and academies from all over the country, looking for ideas and products to help students succeed in their studies.

This year Hammersmith Academy’s very own Headteacher, Mr Kynaston, was invited to address the attendees as a keynote speaker alongside Rose Lucklin, Professor of Learner Centred Design and Director of EDUCATE London, UCL.

They spoke about the importance and benefits of artificial intelligence within schools and why schools should embrace changes. During the speech, they dispelled some of the myths surrounding AI in education, such as technology replacing teachers or that technology will make students more engaged.

Mr Kynaston said after the event, “It was an honour to be invited to speak about something which the Academy is passionate about. We should not be afraid of embracing something which can enhance the lives of students and teachers.”
