Hammersmith Academy celebrate their best ever A Level results, with students making significant progress across the board.

We’ve had another significant increase in all grades at A2 with over 50% A*/B, 79% A*-C and with at least 97% A*-E for all subjects. There have been notable successes within Economics, Geography, Biology, English and Psychology.

A Level

Saifadden Monajed achieved A*AB and is off to Nottingham University to study Economics.

Amatullah Forbes gained A*BB and is going to Goldsmiths to study Psychosocial Studies. She said she ‘feels excited and ready to start university. My experience at HA has been great. If you go to the teachers, they give you lots of help and support. Thanks to all the team."

Nader Eltaher got an A*AA and is off to Southampton University to study Maths. He said, "I believe hard work can get you what you want. And I have proved that. Thanks HA!"

Sabrin Adel Daoud got A*Distinction*C and is planning on reading Comparative Literature and Film Studies at Queen Mary.

Mahdina Ahmed achieved two As and a C and is off to Brunel to read Law. "I am happy and ready for the next stage of my career. It is a relief but also very exciting."

Malak Bouchab hit the top of the grades in BTEC with a triple Distinction (an equivalent of 3As at A level) and has a place to study Television Production at Middlesex.

Salma Gadouchi scored Distinction Business, Sociology B and Psychology C as a visually impaired student. She said she "feels good that she achieved both academically and personally. I have overcome a lot of challenges with the support of HA staff and my peers." She will now study a Business apprenticeship in Marketing and HR.

AS Level

At AS, we were delighted by Umut Halil and Amari Drysdale’s results, each with three As and a B whilst Kirill Yurlov bagged three As and a C.

Both Nasir Uddin and Amy Dhindsa impressed with two As and a B – and are both also on track to achieve a Distinction* in a BTEC. Nasir said he is "happy and pleased as all the effort since September has paid off."

Walid Hassan Zadeh is feeling relieved and really happy. He achieved an impressive two As, B and a C. "You hope the hours of study after school are reflected in the grades and they are."

Deputy Head boy Nadim Choudhury delighted with his experience at Hammersmith so far scored ABB said, "school is like home for me and the next step is university."

All have shown great progress with the new Linear A level courses, though sadly the grades will not count next year!

Headteacher Gary Kynaston said:

"We are so proud of our students’ achievements and to see all their hard work and efforts rewarded. At HA, we provide a warm and professional environment where students can grow both intellectually as academics ready to take on new challenges and as confident, upstanding citizens. We know they leave us with great self-confidence to begin the next stage in their learning journey. We would like to thank our sixth formers for their immeasurably positive contribution as role models for our younger students. They will all go on to be great standard bearers in our society. I would like to thank the teachers for their tireless work and all our parents and families for the support they have given our students to achieve these, our best ever A’ Level results."
