Assessment breakdown: Two written examinations (40% and 35%) and one controlled assessment (25%).
You will be introduced to the world of small businesses and what makes someone a successful business person. You will find out how to develop an idea and spot an opportunity, and turn that into a successful business.
We look at the role of the entrepreneur and the challenges facing business start-ups and how business behaviours can be studied from the perspectives of a range of stakeholders including customers, shareholders and employees.
In addition, we will consider the economic, environmental, ethical, legal, social and technological issues associated with business activity.
