Pastoral Support

The Academy environment has been designed to ensure that you are motivated and enthused to learn.

Your success is important to us. To ensure that you stay on track, you will have a personal tutor at the Academy who will be your advisor. They will help you to track and monitor your progress and support you to achieve your potential. You will receive expert careers guidance and develop your financial literacy. Financial support may be available through bursaries and EMAs.

Every sixth form student will play a key role in the peer coaching programme. This is an opportunity to develop your leadership skills and mentor others to become confident learners.

You will be expected to take an adult and professional approach to your work. Everyone is required to adopt a professional standard of dress, reflecting the ethos and ambitions of the Academy.

Students who accept a place at the Academy will be making a commitment to:

  • Work hard,
  • Take full advantage of all the opportunities offered,
  • Become successful, participating members of the Academy community,
  • Abide by the Academy Code of Conduct, in order to maintain a positive and happy atmosphere at all times, in which every student can thrive.
