Creative Arts

The three departments of Art and Design, Music and Drama make up the Creative Arts Faculty.

Each of the three subjects provides their own distinct course at each key stage. At Key Stage 3, all three subjects are a compulsory part of the curriculum, while at Key Stage 4 and Post 16 all offer options open to all students.

As a Faculty we take great pride and gain real reward from the academic achievement and success of our students but we also recognise the importance of the contribution our subjects make to the life of the school and the personal development of our students. As a result of this we contribute an extensive and varied range of events and extra-curricular activities to the school calendar.

An annual School Drama Production engages students from across all three subjects and of all ages. Art exhibitions celebrate achievement at every ability level. Choirs, Drama Groups, Film Clubs, Rock Bands, Production Teams, Art sessions, Instruments lessons and more, provide opportunities for anybody and everybody who shows interest or willing.
