New Schools
As well as being involved in individual new and existing school buildings over the years, Barnsley Hewett and Mallinson have also been involved in complete new schools. This started with the Thomas Telford City Technology College which was completed in the early 1990's. We were the Architects to complete the first new City Academy, The Walsall Academy which was completed and opened on time for the September 2003 term. Since then, we have worked on several master plans for the DFE and have completed academy projects at Sandwell, Madeley and Burlington Danes. Hammersmith Academy is the latest in this line, and will open in September 2011.
