Session 3 Activities

Session 3 and the Additional Curriculum

We operate an extended day which, has been designed to maximise the learning opportunities for all our students

Your day will be divided into three main learning sessions and you will also meet with your Tutor each day. The last session of the day is known as Session 3. These sessions will be taught by teachers and industry specialists ensuring that you develop your capabilities in a way which compliments your academic success. As a sixth form student you’ll be expected to grow your skills to a good industry standard. You will be expected to take on a leadership role in your chosen Session 3 activity.

We have ‘state-of-the-art’ facilities. Our brand new building includes a sound recording studio, media suites, video editing and film production technology, digital and traditional photography spaces, library and information technology centres, dance and drama studios with sprung floor, as well as, a theatre with tiered seating. There is also a fantastic sports hall and a restaurant.

We will offer a wide range of interesting activities that you can choose to take part in during Session 3.

These include:
  • Sports, fitness and coaching,
  • Duke of Edinburgh awards,
  • Digital and traditional Photography,
  • Digital gaming development,
  • Journalism,
  • Drama, dance and theatre,
  • TV, film and radio production,
