Demolition of the Stamford House building started in August.
These photos taken in the first week of August 2009 demonstrate the rapid progress made on the demolition stage of the project, with everything above ground level now reduced to rubble with just the old swimming pool building remaining (see photo 3 above).
After demolition and the removal of debris, the next step is to dig out and remove the ground floor concrete slab. Completion of this stage of the process is expected early in September, and the tender process for the main building contractor is already under way
